Dr. Kesslyn Brade Stennis is a social work scholar, educator, and academic leader dedicated to advancing social justice, community well-being, and professional development in the helping professions. She serves as Program Director for the Master of Social Work program at the University of the District of Columbia, where she prepares future social workers to lead with ethical grounding, evidence-based practice, and cultural responsiveness.
Her scholarship and leadership focus on strengthening African American communities, integrating faith-informed practice, advancing trauma-informed care, and expanding opportunities for underrepresented scholars and practitioners. Through her academic and professional service, she has contributed to national conversations on equity, leadership development, and social work education.
As a member of the Infinite Minds Board of Directors, Dr. Stennis brings deep expertise in human services education, research-informed practice, and community-centered leadership—strengthening the organization’s commitment to cultivating hope, resilience, and sustainable pathways for individuals and families.
